Under the visionary leadership and inspiration of the Honorable Governor of Uttar Pradesh and Chancellor, Smt. Anandiben Patel, along with the esteemed guidance of Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak, the 40th Convocation Ceremony of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, was held on 17th September 2025 at the Virangana Rani Laxmibai Auditorium.
The event was graced by several distinguished dignitaries, including the Honorable Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben Patel; Chief of DRDO, Dr. Samir V. Kamat; Honorable Education Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogendra Upadhyay; and Honorable Minister of State for Higher Education, Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Rajni Tiwari.
During the ceremony, various startup stalls showcased innovative ventures such as Flotaa, Zenher, Joylicious, Mediotech, SunGroove Ltd., and Vijay Sulekhan, among others.
A special highlight of the event was the launch of the CSJM Innovation Foundation book, which showcased the best innovations and achievements of the past year. The book launch took place in the presence of all dignitaries, with Dr. Shilpa D. Kaistha, CEO & Dean of CSJMIF, joining them on stage.
Notably, five startups were recognized for their outstanding accomplishments:
Ms. Yusra Rabia Fatima, Founder of Joylicious Joy in Every Bite Private Limited, received the Best Student Startup Award.
Mr Animesh Shukla & Mr Prakhar singh , Founder of Zenher, won the Best Social Entrepreneurship Award.
Mr Bhuwan Bhatia & Mr Animesh Bajpai , Founders of Flotaa, was honored with the Best Sustainability Startup Award.
Mr. Kuldeep sharma & Mr Kshitiz Gandhi, Founders of Pyriegn Technologies, received the Best Startup Award.
Mrs Shyamali sahai & Mrs Pushpanjali, Founders of Srajan AI Data, was awarded the Best Women-Led Startup Award.
These awards were presented by the Honorable Governor, Smt. Anandiben Patel, in the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak.
the university’s IPR Cell proudly highlighted the institution’s remarkable achievements in intellectual property, showcasing an impressive portfolio of 356 patents and 67 design registrations. This milestone underscores the university’s unwavering commitment to innovation and research excellence.
